| Animal Welfare in our productions

Pythona Studios & Pythona Productions & Sykes.Dog Media's Usage of animals.

At Pythona Studios & Co., we believe in utmost Animal Welfare.
We love making media involving animals, with this being said, we have rules and regulations we must follow to ensure animal safety.

We follow strict guidelines when filming involving animals, and ensures that their 5 welfare needs are met (welfare needs can be found on https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/45 - Animal Welfare Act 2006)

This states:
For the purposes of this Act, an animal's needs shall be taken to include—

(a)its need for a suitable environment,
(b)its need for a suitable diet,
(c)its need to be able to exhibit normal behaviour patterns,
(d)any need it has to be housed with, or apart from, other animals, and
(e)its need to be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease.

We ensure that they have adequate accommodation when on set,
we provide frequently topped up clean water,
Food on their regular Diet Plan and schedule,
and ensure each animal gets weekly or monthly Health Checks.
